Privacy and about
QSO Trace maps the contacts in your ham radio log. Here is what happens to your data.
Your log stays on your device
- Your log file is read only in your browser. It is never uploaded to us or stored by us.
- There are no accounts and nothing to sign up for.
- The app sets no cookies. It saves a few display settings (such as theme and distance units) in your browser's local storage, which you can clear at any time.
Analytics and third parties
The app has no analytics or tracking scripts and makes no requests to third-party services. Everything it needs, including its fonts, is served from this site. The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages, which keeps standard server logs. Cloudflare never receives your log.
Disclaimer
- QSO Trace is for fun and visualization only. It is not an awards tool, so don't use it to confirm DXCC, WAS, or other award credit.
- Locations depend on the grid square or latitude and longitude in your log. If those are missing or wrong, a contact may be placed approximately or in the wrong place.
- Paths are great-circle approximations, not actual propagation paths.
- Country and state borders come from Natural Earth.
